FALCON F1 JUMPING SADDLE Product development at Jeffries involves regular input from their sponsored riders including event rider and former Riding Master of The Household Cavalry Richard Waygood. We asked Richard to explain the benefits of the new saddle. Said Richard: “Jeffries have been censorious for their traditional qualities for years within the equine industry. They manufacture goods that are not only cosmetically attractive, practicable, good fitting and fairly priced but once again have excelled themselves with the F1. “The F1 saddle is designed to suit the modern day equestrian rider in such a way that it helps to enhance the rider’s performance, and that the rider is unaware the saddle is even there. I have always believed the mark of a good saddle is the fact that the rider when competing feels no hindrance from the saddle in any shape or form, if it does hinder riding, then something does not fit or suit. “The F1 has a flat cantle that allows the necessary freedom for both show jumping and cross-country riding, those uncomfortable moments off drop fences when the cantle pushes you forward are a thing of the past with the F1. “It has forward cut panels that allow the rider to push the lower leg forward into a secure position when needed. The point of the tree has been positioned in a unique way so as not to inhibit the horses shoulder movement which allows maximum manoeuvrability. The knee rolls are replaced with moveable knee blocks to ensure whatever the length of your leg; you can adjust the saddle accordingly. What’s more, the F1 is attractive and has flocked panels using pure wool that are extremely comfortable for the horse.” The Falcon F1 comes in a wide range of sizes and fits and colours Black and Havana and retails at around £1,400.00.
