FALL 2013 PARSONAGE HOUSE NEWSLETTER I know what you are thinking, FALL!!! But like it or not we are entering into August, and if it is anything like the last 3 months, we probably shouldn’t blink. I am personally welcoming the cooler weather and the beautiful colors and the cozy nights with a blanket and a good book. If you are like me, I am already planning on how I can make this next season less stressful and get done all that I can ahead so I can actually breathe. My closest friends are a fresh new notebook and a good daily planner. The restaurant has been gaining fans and I can’t believe it has been a year already. Catering has kept me busy and that is partly the reason I have not offered a cooking class to the public since November. Trying to keep things in balance has always been a struggle in this business. So I am announcing that cooking classes are back on at the Parsonage House! I will be offering classes that will start in August and finish up in November. For those of you who have never attended a class, I will fill you in on the details. Classes will be offered on Monday nights starting at 6:00pm and ending around 8:00. Each class has 3-4 dishes that I prepare in front of you and class participation is encouraged. After preparing the meal, students sit down around the table and try all the offerings. If my table could talk it would have much to say about the many conversations and laughter that occurred around it. I have devoted followers who don’t give a hoot about cooking but just like to come and watch, relax and eat with friends and strangers. I have been truly blessed by all the lovely friends I have gained through these classes. Classes are $25.00 and must be prepaid upon signup or your place cannot be held. Checks can be made out to Parsonage House and should be sent to 266 Dunham Road, Vassalboro, Maine 04989.
