FALL CRUISE! On Thursday we will finish our week long visit home and return to Orcas Island and the boat in West Sound. After stocking and a few repairs, we will start a slow and easy fall tour of the lower San Juan Islands and Puget Sound, finishing in Olympia sometime in October where we will moor the boat this winter. Our general plan is to have easy days on the water with plenty of time ashore to explore. We will visit: Orcas Island (Brown Bear Bakery, West Sound Cafe, Island Hoppin Brewery, and of course the boat) Sucia Island, Shallow Bay (tides permitting, sunsets and champagne) Stuart Island and Satellite Island (stars, hiking and T-shirts) Pender Harbor (ahh, showers) Roche Harbor (people watching and donuts!) Blind Bay (ice cream) Rosario Resort (dinner out) Sharpes Bay (wait for tide) Deception Pass (whoosh!) Coupeville (more ice cream) Langely Everett Edmons (wine and cheese restock) Seattle (ferris wheel, beer, flying fish) Blake Island (Seattle lights and hiking) Gig Harbor (pub) Filucy Bay Olympia - Swantown B Row The bilge is filled with wine and champagne, and the tanks are full of water and fuel. We hope the fall weather holds so we can fully enjoy the beauty of this incredible area. We are also hoping for some nice fall wind to shake out the new sails.
