FALSE APOSTLES, CHRISTIANS, and BELIEVERS: Paul spoke of the - TopicsExpress

FALSE APOSTLES, CHRISTIANS, and BELIEVERS: Paul spoke of the false apostles and those who follow their teachings in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. For such are FALSE apostles (brothers, sisters, believers), deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. He made it clear that such people exist and we know that his testimony is true. It is good for us to know of their existence, but it is better to know how to recognize them since they look and sound just like the true believer. The false apostles he was speaking about had been following him around for some time. Paul was teaching that our forgiveness of sin and our peace with God was found in Jesus and our faith and trust in Him. They would come along behind him and claim to be believers and name the name of Jesus, and agree with all the facts about Him but one. That He was Savior. These people taught that the way to peace with God was to keep the commandments of God ( Law of Moses). They didnt argue that believing in Jesus was wrong, but argued that the way to be saved was obedience, and they outright denied that faith in Jesus and the work that He did for us was the way to be saved. ...Fast forward to today. There are many who teaching that it is our efforts to obey Jesus and God that brings salvation to us. They oppose faith alone in Jesus alone and add works with faith as if faith isnt enough. These are the people who are FALSE brethren. If you want to know who you are dealing with, ask them how we are born-again and how we are saved. Any answer that denies that it is faith alone in Jesus alone will show you who they are. It is often said that God is the judge of who is His. YES He is, and He will judge without respect of persons. The Pope to the bag lady will be judged. It is also often said that we are not to judge whether or not a person is born-again. This is not true. If a person comes teaching that we must keep the commandments to be saved, they are teaching and believing a FALSE gospel and are ANATHAMA (set apart for destruction). Galatians 1: 7-9 It is my hope and Gods desire that these people change their minds (REPENT) and be saved by faith and trust in Jesus, before they leave this world.
