FALSE TONGUES For with stammering lips and ANOTHER TONGUE will - TopicsExpress

FALSE TONGUES For with stammering lips and ANOTHER TONGUE will he speak to THIS PEOPLE. (Isa. 28:11) (Check out "this people" - always refers to Jews in Scripture) “Wherefore TONGUES ARE FOR A SIGN not to them that believe, but TO THEM THAT BELIEVE NOT: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.” (1 Corinthians 14:22) 1 Corinthians 1:22-24; 22 For the JEWS REQUIRE A SIGN, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Preaching the gospel in “tongues” (an unlearned language) as opposed to the "unknown tongue" (babble) was a valid Biblical gift, but only during the period of the early First Century. Tongues were a sign gift to unbelieving Jews, or to national Israel, as "the gospel of the kingdom" was preached by Jesus Christ, John the baptist, the disciples, and for a short time, the seventy. Never by the apostle Paul to the church. Paul preached "the gospel of the grace of God," (Acts 20:24) which he sometimes called my gospel." (2 Timothy 2:1-10; Romans 16:25; 2 Tim. 2:8) Those who refuse to recognise the correct divisions in Scripture will continue to fall into all kinds of doctrinal errors by not obeying to command to "rightly divide the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15) You fall into the same trap into which every Charismatic and Pentecostal person falls into, by failing to do this. Tongues are not, and never were for Gentiles, in any age, or dispensation, as we clearly read above. 1 Corinthians 14:21 - In the law it is written, With men of OTHER TONGUES and other lips will I speak unto THIS PEOPLE; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. (Israel did not hear, therefore judgment fell on them in AD 70) When Israel rejected her Messiah and crucified the Lord Jesus Christ instead of receiving Him as their Messiah, "this gospel," or "the gospel of the kingdom" was withdrawn, and the "gospel of the grace of God" given to Paul, which was "hid in the ages." Tongues, as well as all the apostolic, supernatural, and miraculous sign gifts were withdrawn when the gospel of the kingdom ceased to be preached. What we see on a growing scale today are false, demonic counterfeits.
