FAMILY ACTION Canterbury Advice Centre Would you like to be part of an established Welfare Rights Advice Team providing advice and advocacy to communities in Bradford? Bilingual Debt Advice Worker £8,516 - £9,379 per annum 14.5 hours per week You will principally work with families in outreach sessions at local schools providing a comprehensive debt counselling service and will also be required to represent clients at court. You must have experience in multiple debt casework and knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act, County Court, Magistrates Court Procedures and experience in general benefits work. In addition to experience you must also have a recognised qualification in the field of advice work. It is essential that you have good organisational skills and are able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You must be multi-lingual with fluency in English and either Urdu or Punjabi. Closing date: 9am 17 June 2013 Interview date: 20 June 2013 Senior Project Administrator £14,903 - £16,851 per annum 29.6 hours per week You will oversee a busy reception and information service and provide administrative support for a team of Advice and Domestic Abuse Support Workers and the Project Manager. You must have an excellent knowledge of administration systems and procedures and proven experience of using Windows, Excel, Access databases, internet, powerpoint, publisher and photoshop. You must have excellent organisational skills and experience of setting up and maintaining administrative and financial systems including petty cash and processing invoices. You must be able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Closing date: midday 10 June 2013 Interview date: 13 June 2013 Bilingual Sessional Advice Workers £11.29 - £12.44 per hour You will work on a sessional basis as required in a range of settings including Advice centre, GP surgeries or schools providing a full advice, income maximisation and casework service to a wide range of clients. You must have recent experience of welfare benefits casework and knowledge of legislation, caselaw and procedures relevant to this area. You must be able to manage an advice caseload methodically including ability to prioritise tasks, identifying and working to key dates and deadlines. You must be multi-lingual with fluency in English and either Urdu or Punjabi.
