FAMILY FOUND!! Just before Christmas I received notice of the NCH burials in the Hamilton Cemetery. Lizzie Bellman was one of those children buried there. It turned out that three sisters came to Canada, Lizzie died, Lily stayed in Canada but never married and Minnie returned to England - she was the only sister who had descendants. I received a message in before Christmas, but now it has been confirmed that this is the correct family. Minnie was deaf and they believe that is why she came back to the UK. She would lip read in order to understand.The family knew she and her sisters and been in Canada but did not know about the British Home Child programme. They know now and also they know what happened to the other two sisters here in Canada - so reunited at last in their family histories only 121 years after Lizzies death.
