FAMU started the new school year three weeks ago – the universitys first under new President Elmira Mangum – expecting to see a third straight year with a four-digit drop in enrollment. It didnt happen. William Hudson Jr., vice president of student affairs, told the Board of Trustees Student Affairs Committee today that enrollment this fall stands at 10,231, down only 504 from the 2013 count of 10,735.
