FAN COMMENT OF THE YEAR Courtesy of a Facebook group. SP - Ive often just read peoples comments and blow them off as letting off steam but i really struggle sometimes to understand how some people think a club should operate. We as the fan see a small amount of what actually goes on and most of what we know is read online or in a newspaper or here say from someone who knows someone. To piece together snippets of this to then make a assumption of what is actually happening is a disaster to a fan. To then go out and use this assumption as the basis for protests, for online petitions and to use it as belittling fuel towards players is very unfair and shallow from a alleged fan of our side. Im not pinpointing this towards anyone im basing this on many years of reading fans posts both in here and elsewhere. The biggest and most disastrous comment has to be Why did they let him go. Can you imagine if we kept everyone who these people complained about letting go. Wed be a club full of possibilities. Wed never get that emerging potential. Wed never have juniors coming through and wed never have the money to buy the Widdops and Dugans. Its a tough business thats always changing on the field and one injury or one player who didnt quiet make the cut always change the outcome. It affects every envision of what could have been. Its no fault of Doust, Young or then Price and now Mary. I ask who here has brought a car and it didnt quiet give you what you expected. We need to support, we need to understand we actually know squat and we need to trust those who are appointed in the fact they see a hell of alot more than us and we just cannot keep them all. Looking forward to 2015 when we see the team come out trying there best once again.
