FAN QUESTION: Please post my question. Let me start by saying Im 27 and Down syndrome doesnt run in either my, nor my husbands family. I recently had a level II ultrasound at 20 weeks, where they discovered my son has only 2 vessels in his cord. 99% of babies are born with 3. And, if that news wasnt hard enough to swallow, my doctors office calls me and hour later and informs me my results for Down syndrome came back at a 1:250 chance of him having it. During my ultrasound, they didnt detect any of the soft markers for Down syndrome. His nose bone was prominent, he didnt show and fluid in the brain, nothing. I guess my question is, has anyone had BOTH of these happen and still had a perfectly healthy baby? Any advise would be helpful. *Juli*
