FAQ - no 3: UBUNTU Contributionism 3) If everything is FREE, I want 10 mansions and 50 Ferraris. Answer: Land ownership is an insane idea that was introduced by the royal bloodlines thousands of years ago to enslave their subjects and it has evolved into the ugly commercial game today. How can anyone possibly claim to own a piece of Mother Earth? In UBUNTU communities, there is no land ownership. Everyone has a beautiful home of their own to live in, designed and built for them for free, by the best architects and builders, based on the size of their family or needs. Everyone is allocated land by the community and Council of Elders, based on what they do for the community. Farmers will have as much land as they need to produce whatever it is they are producing in sufficient quantity for their community. Herb farmers will use much less land than maize farmers, and so on. Material possessions do not exist because everything is available to everyone all the time. Big mansions and expensive cars like Ferraris are a side-effect of capitalism, only afforded by those with money, mostly to show off their material wealth that separates them from those who cannot afford it. They are status symbols, mere expressions of ego more than anything else, causing separation and creating envy with the rest of the problems we are trying to eradicate from our lives. Even if you had 50 Ferraris, nobody will be impressed because they can also have 50 Ferraris if they wanted to. They will have no value at all, as they have today. All they will do is take up space and collect dust. You will not be popular with your community for such behaviour. Keep in mind that transport and travel is free in UBUNTU communities. There will be new energy and amazing new discoveries in the transport, travel and automotive sector. Cars will probably no longer be made for the same reasons they are made today because they will be seen as old and inefficient. Cars will also not be allowed by the community because they pollute our environment, unless they run on new energy sources. For that reason we may see an explosion of car enthusiasts, who continue to build old cars for sentimental reasons in car clubs the way we do today. So you will have your 50 Ferraris, but they will most likely be part of the local car club, where they will belong to everyone, and everyone will have the right to drive them or join the club, where they can also build collector’s cars. Such clubs will most likely spring up around many sectors that belonged in the past for nostalgic reasons. Where people appreciate the design, they love the shape of the car and recognise the intrinsic artistry of the car – not the price tag. Making cars will become an art form – not a necessity for transport. The community and Council of Elders will play a key role in this – allowing the minority principle to apply – cooperation instead of competition – to provide for the needs of all minorities as long as it does not infringe on the rights of the others or the community as a whole. In other words, everything is possible. in love and unity Michael Tellinger
