FARE SHARE ASKS - CAN GUIDES HELP? We will be looking for 1000s of volunteers across the country and particularly in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee for our next big event, the Neighbourhood Food Collection, which takes place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of December in Tesco stores. We ask volunteers to encourage customers to donate store cupboard staples to supplement the fresh food we source elsewhere, allowing us provide varied, balanced and healthy to the charities we support. We had some guiding groups involved last year who found it a really worthwhile experience and we’d like to get more guides on board this year. I am contacting you early to see if we can facilitate this. We think it could really suit the girl guides as the volunteering times are flexible and they can volunteer in a store local to them. We feed 62,000 vulnerable people every day in the UK so they would be getting involved in a fantastic cause. Many thanks, Ruth
