FAST TEMPS JOB FAIR AT THE OAK PARK CAREER CENTER ON JULY 25, 2013 1:00:00 PM-4:00 PM PRODUCTION POSITION $8.50/hr Requirements (Qualifications & Skills): Job Location: Livonia • Education: 1 year towards Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred not required • Experience Necessary: Familiarity with high volume automotive production requirements and standards preferred. • Must be able to read and follow instruction. • Attire is jeans and a collared shirt must be tucked in at all times. Steel toe shoes are required • Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. English required, second language preferred • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift heat treat fixtures and parts, stay on feet for several hours at a time, rack parts, drive lift truck and work all shifts as required • Work Environment: Plant is clean but not air conditioned working temperatures are 60F to 100F. Typical temperature is 70F. • Must have the ability to work in a team environment • Any tasks that may be required by your supervisor • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism. LAB TECHNICIAN Requirements (Qualifications & Skills): Job Location: Livonia • Education: AS Degree in Metallurgy or equivalent preferred. • Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year in lab or related position. Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications helpful. • Desire basic knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, inspection, and related subjects. • Desire experience with equipments such as Rockwell and micro hardness testers. • Desire ability to use cut off machines, belt grinders and related equipments. • Desire experience making metallurgical specimens using the necessary equipments for metallurgical evaluation. • Must be able to verify the measuring equipments as per BMS. • Must be required to perform audits to support quality functions. • Must be able to evaluate the microstructure using a metallograph and certify samples. • Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, and sit and stand for prolonged periods, bend, stoop and climb. Must have 20/20 vision, corrected or not. • Work environment: May be exposed to heat, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc. • Requires computer experience and good understanding of basic math. • Required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends if necessary. • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
