FATAL HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT IN HOWELL TOWNSHIP. In an effort to assist the Howell Township Police Department, the Brick Township Police Department is asking our residents to please read the below information regarding a fatal hit and run accident. On Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 1401 hours, a bicyclist was fatally struck by a Hit & Run Driver on Herbertsville Road, in Howell Township. The Hit & Run vehicle is described an older 1990’s, midsized sedan, dark in color. The suspect vehicle should have damage to the passenger’s side headlamp assembly and possible damage to the front bumper and windshield. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Herbertsville Road towards Brick. The Brick Township Police Department is asking residents to report any unusual activity in their area such as: • Vehicles parked and covered • Vehicles parked in backyards of a residence • Vehicles parked in a garage • Vehicles left in parking lots for the past few days • Vehicles that are no longer at a particular location All that would normally be visible in front of a residence.
