FATHER is the name God wants us to call Him Christian Spiritual Stronghold Would you want your Son to call you by your name? if so, It is disrespectful! Did God specifically say He has a name? Exodus 3:13-14 Moses said to God, Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, What is his name? Then what shall I tell them? God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you. Did God represent Himself being the Father from old? Isaiah 63:16 But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name. 2 Kings 2:12 Elisha saw it and cried out, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw Elijah no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. Did Jesus reveals the Father to us? John 17:6 I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. John 17:26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them. What is His name that we may call Him according to Jesus? Matthew 6:9 This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, In Regards to our faith, can we call anyone our Father Like how the Catholic called their priest? Matthew 23:9 And do not call anyone on earth father, for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Are all things comes from our Father? James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. If God is our Father then who are we in relationship with God? Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. Can we call God in any names that is not the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.? 1 Corinthians 4:6 Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other.
