FAVOURITE FRIDAY is in honor of #IDidItForDaniel #ACLT Today marks what would have been our dear Daniel’s 27th birthday, the inspiration for starting ACLT Charity Thanks to the generosity of countless potential donors Daniel did beat leukaemia blood cancer, but as you all know sadly he passed away aged 21 from multiple organ failure. Did you know the ACLT has so far boosted the number of black and mixed race potential bone marrow donors from 550 to over 50,000, plus the thousands of White British, Asian and other ethnic minority potential donors registered by ACLT and we have saved well over 50 lives since we formed in June 1996? As for blood and organ donors...the numbers registered run into their thousands! To continue achieving numbers like these we require funding. Unlike the larger cancer charities who receives million pound grants, gifts like Breast Cancer Research and Cancer Research, a majority of the work the ACLT do is self funded by the efforts of the charity.
