FB Friends, this has happened to me now at least 2x on Facebook, when I have shared what SEEMED to be a legit story, as it was SO CLOSE to the possible reality: that businesses, due to the Hobby Lobby decision, can now dictate the practices of their employees to be in accordance with the religious rights of the corporation as person. I just posted ~ and quickly DELETED ~ a satirical piece which came across as an article on a Muslim-owned business requiring its Christian employees to wear the headscarf (hijab) at work. To me, as one who looks at polarizing political talk, such a satirical piece crosses the line into incitement. I definitely did not see it as amusing, but as all too possible under the Hobby Lobby standards, which I see as businesses allowing employers/owners to control the personal and private decisions of women. So wow, just once again, let the reader and consumer of info beware. I also have to wonder re a piece like that whether genuine satire is at work or maybe something more sinister, like an attempt to inflame anti-Muslim sentiment across the Net. To any Muslim FB Friends I may have, I apologize. To my very alert FB Friend, Diana Shellenberger, many, many thanks for the quick alert, so that I was able to delete this harmful piece immediately.
