FB friends I need some suggestions! UW Madisons common reading program, Go Big Read, has chosen I Am Malala as the campus-wide book for the semester. This is an amazing opportunity to create awareness around education in developing countries, NW Pakistan, the Pashtun culture and Islam as so many UW classes are incorporating the book into their fall semester curriculum. Furthermore, Ive been asked to speak about it for three different occasions on campus (Oct 8, Oct 20 and Nov 24) which is exciting but slightly nerve-wracking. I dont want to repeat myself at each event, so I need your help! What kinds of connections and topics should I speak to? I want the content to be positive and focused on moving forward.
