FB friends, do you believe in writing letters? Well I do, years ago when I was very young I wrote a letter for my grandmother to her nephew who was a Colonel in the Army. He stayed in touch with me over the years and told me "if you ever want anyone to pay attention and get something done, write a letter, do not make a phone call". I always remembered that and when my first husband, Bobby, became so ill and he tried to get his SS disability and the doctors at Social Security did not understand his condition kept turning him down, I got "FED UP" so I sat down and wrote the President a letter, it was 8 legal pages long, listed every medication and explained what was going on. I was working a full time (sometimes 65 hours a week) to make ends meet. Well, the letter did make it to the president, although my friends laughed at me, and that letter was sent to the Commissioner of SS, and I received a letter from him stating that my husband had been approved to draw his disability and also his back pay.
