FBR act provisions likely to be invoked to get taxpayer data The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is likely to invoke provisions of a law regarding the obtaining of information from government and private authorities to identify non-filers of tax returns and at the same time initiating prosecution against them during December 2013. The FBR in the next month is also revisiting concessionary notifications to comply with the requirements under the latest International Monetary Fund loan program, sources said on Thursday.
