FEELING EMOTIONAL ON 2 ACCOUNTS Hi Velists, 55 mins into the ride, a voice behind me starts to tell me their 18 week comeback training plan. Next thing we know is a car starts coming out of a side street right into us. Somehow Cec and I stay on the bikes, I stop and turn to give the driver what for, and there is the voice from behind getting up from the ashphalt. Poor Racheal, 55 mins into her come back, then next thing shes down. Trying to get her straight back on the bike in true cyclist style, but no joy her shoulder was too sore. After some origami with a triangular bandage out of my first aid kit, we strap her up and left her with a total stranger so we could carry on and get the miles in. And finally for 2014 Angela completed the 8 Day 500 K Strava Xmas Challenge, what a top effort. Its not just the physical aspect of going out and doing 2 to 3hrs a day for 8 days. Its doing it in winter plus trying to juggle family commitments, especial over the Xmas period which makes it mentally tiring aswell.
