FEMI FANI KAYODE, THE PSYCHOPATH AND THE NEW ATTACK DOG ABOUT BUHARI Responding to Buhari’s ’advice to President Jonathan, Femi Fani Kayode said ‘’Buhari is nothing more than an old relic from the distant past who secretly craves for a return to the norms, ways and values of 6th century Saudi Arabia’’. It is really not an issue what he said, what one needs to be worried about is that some people are jumping and clapping for him for doing exactly what he knows how to do best; to manifest a personality disorder characterized by enduring antisocial behaviour. If you ask around today, not many Nigerians know about the man Great Imo Jonathan (GIJ), but you can be sure that many of them knows the man Femi Fani Kayode (FFK), especially for what he represent. Therefore, my response to FFK’s psychopath’s rendition against Buhari is but a simple thing, because I am not about to tell Nigerians anything about him that they are not already aware of. My job is simply to remind us of the quality of mind and character that we are dealing with, which is the character that only those who are desperate for power and their supporters can find easy to relate with. It is indeed a sad commentary on the present crop of leadership, and it goes to show the quality of characters that this present leadership is made of. Because there is a popular adage that says ‘’show me your friend and I will tell who you are’’. My response is by no means an endorsement of Buhari, but it does not take away from the fact that the former president is a man of honour, a virtue that his enemies including those in power are working hard to diminish, because they do not have the capacity to posses it. That said; let me remind us of what FFk said on February 6th, 2014, when he criticized President Goodluck Jonathans administration for being a failure. According to him, Jonathan has failed in all sectors, including the economy and security, and if he should be allowed to continue in office, this country is heading for serious disaster and it will be calamitous. Again FFK while referring to President Jonathan said “But the truth is that Obasanjo caused the problem we have today. The joy of it is that the same Obasanjo who anointed an incompetent leader for Nigeria is now cleaning up the mess, This same FFK while responding to President Jonathan’s threat to arrest APC leaders wrote:GEJ has threatened the leaders of the APC with treason for calling on the National Assembly to impeach him (Jonathan). I dare the President to carry out his threat’’ So what has changed about the APC that he used to know and that he could die for? On February 5 2014, again FFK said ‘’Yorubas have been marginalized by Jonathans administration and thus, should not vote him in 2015’’. He went further to say that ’’Any attempt to allow President Jonathan stay in office beyond 2015 would mean doom for the Yoruba nation’’ Now, does it not mean that FFK is working for the coming doom on Youruba people? This same guy who said ‘’Jonathan is bleeding Nigeria to death, It is time for change’’ is the same person that is singing his praise. And you ask yourself: what has changed between February 2014 and now? Maybe President Jonathan has filled his pocket with money and he can now afford his regular powder; as we say, he is no more ‘’ jonzing’’. On Thursday 5 2013, said in Osogbo, capital of Osun State, FFK said the President was too weak to win the war against the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram. According to him “As long as Jonathan is in power, Boko Haram will be there because he is not man enough to tackle the problem’’. He also said that ‘’Until a president who is man enough is in charge, Boko Haram problem will continue to be there,” And for those of you who call yourselves Igbo crusaders, you have quickly forgotten what FFK said concerning Igbos on August 8, 2013. It was him who said ‘’ The Igbo and their Biafra fought Nigeria and killed Nigerians for three hard years in that brutal civil war in which over one million courageous, loyal and faithful sons and daughters of the Federal Republic lost their lives at the war front trying to stop Biafra from seceding from the federation, from taking our land and from taking the minority groups of the Mid-Western Region and Eastern Region and our newly-discovered oil with them’’ Not done with Igbos, FFK in an effort to disparage the most revered Igbo man living or dead, made a public rendition of how he frolicked the wife of late Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu, Eze Igbo Gburugburu. Today because he is in President Jonathan’s government some igbos have embraced him as their friend not minding how this man diminished the Igbo race by diminishing their legend. Igbos who supports FFK are ignorant and they don’t even understand what is means to have your legend diminished. If FFK can insult President Jonathan randomly and said all he said about him and later went to serve under him, there is nothing to say other than to say the man is a dog, because he always return to his own vomit. The fact that FFK after describing the PDP as “sinking ship” and it’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, as ‘’representing a sinking ship’’, can go back to the same party further goes to show that a dog might be better than him. Atleast not even a dog will see a sinking ship and jump into it. For FFK to have done that he is truely worst than a dog. I can’t imagine that Fani-Kayode who said the PDP was a sad testimony of everything that is wrong with Nigeria is now a PDP member. It means he has joined those who are the problem of Nigeria so that he can help destroy the country. If FFK can after disparaging the Igbos go back to serve an administration that is considered an Igbo administration, it is not difficult to see that he has no principle. If FFK is now a dog that goes back to his vomit why should one be bothered about what he says or does. He insulted Igbos, insulted late Odumegwu Ojukwu, he insulted president Jonathan and even insulted late Chinua Achebe, why should it be difficult for him to insult Buhari? It should be even easy for him especially because he is a man driven by his sense of greed, he has no values. Not only is he a dog he aspires to be an attack dog. Like someone once said, ‘’With Fani-Kayode, one finds it difficult differentiating between the definitions of consistency and inconsistent. Both words find meaning in the character of Fani-Kayode. Once he is inconsistent, another time he is consistent. He’s inconsistent in talking from both sides of the mouth, but consistent in the goal his doublespeak seeks to achieve. “I must talk my way into this government” seems to be his objective before he sets out to criticise any administration. He is simply consistently inconsistent!’’ I am not surprised about a psychopath like FFK being the new attack dog; I am only worried about those empty heads who take what he says seriously.
