FERGUSON, Mo. – As police broke up protests in Ferguson late 8/14 Wednesday night, they also turned their tactics on local and national television news crews. Like a real Gestapo, police fired upon reporters and aother TV crew from Al Jazeera. According to the 23-year veteran of television news, a bean bag round hit his camera equipment. Both photojournalists and Matthews say police never told them to leave the area prior to this incident. The KSDK crew says the Al Jazeera America crew was yelling, Were the press. The Al Jazeera America crew can be seen running away from the van on video. Then two police officers can be seen taking down the crews television lights and tilting the TV camera toward the ground. Free Press? From there, the KSDK crew says police approached them with guns drawn which is NOT how any security situation ever is done by police- that is a military tactic- not police. Another voice says We dont want you here. Somebodys going to get hurt. We dont want to see you guys get hurt. The KSDK crew says that is the voice of a police officer. And this is 1 of a dozen journalist TV crews shot, gassed, and detained. The skies over Ferguson are under a NO FLY ZONE for a reason. No press helicopters are allowed to film in a very big swat at free press. #freedom #america #truth #mikebrown #michaelbrown #missouri #occupy #freepress #occupy99 #protest #aljazeera #news IG: ™@theglobalmovement
