FESTIVE MESSAGE Samson s weakness was Women and his strength was his Hair. The Philistines used his weakness to draw out his strength. On top of Delilah s lap was not only comfort and rest but his weakness and his strength were competing on a scale. Destiny laid on Delilah s lap 1) The Bible says he slept on that lap peacefully like a child that he could not even hear them cutting his hair. In other words his weakness had closed both his spiritual ears and physical ears because he was now in comfort. Sometimes we allow our weaknesses to suffocate our strengths. A temporary pleasure can completely scatter your destiny. 2)After losing his strength they now plucked out Samson s eyes. Eyes represent sight and vision. They had removed his ability to see. When you feed your weakness it closes your sight even when people warn you, you dont see anything because you are now blind. 3) After plucking out his eyes they now made mockery out of him. They made a party and the blind man Samson had to entertain them by dancing as they laughed at him. Your weakness hasnt only suffocated ur strenth and removed your vision it also makes you a playground of the devil. You begin to dance to his tune. We have approached a season where most Christians lose their sanity and give in to their weakness, Remember Esau. Never trade your birthright for a temporary pleasure. No matter how hungry you are. You are worth more than a bowl of soup.
