FEW BEACH TIPS!! Few things to save heaps of butthurt over summer 1. Pack a shovel. Digging a diffed fourb on an incoming tide and youre gonna have a bad time. 2. If youre not confident on the beach set your tyres to 15 psi as a good starter before you hit any sand (heaps of people drive full psi down entries and bog up, then lower. This degrates the track bad for the exit!) 3. There is usually a top track along most beaches, this is the safest option. While closer to the water can be hard on flatter beaches and depending on time of the year often below the tide line will be churned and soft as shit. 4. Park with the front of your vehicle towards the water (off the main track(s). That way when you start your fourb you arent fighting gravity for momentum) 5. Always turn down the beach and keep momentum up (right foot if you have to) 6. If you ever bog up TAKE FOOT OF ACCELERATOR. Reverse back onto already travelled path. Try hit it hard in 1 High and gain speed. If this doesnt work drop psi and drive out/check line. Most fourbys on 8 psi will walk out of the softest shit. Never ever try and get out revving its tits off youre just trashing your car and digging to China. 7. Be aware of tides, seaweed holes, tide cliffs etc 8. If you get bogged, youre on the shovel when someone comes to snatch you. Snatching a buried car is hard on a good Samaritans fourb. Use your own recovery gear, do up shackles, replace broken gear etc. While someone is helping your listen to their advice on what you did wrong and learn from it humbly, dont drive 500m down the beach and expect to get snatched again. Theres nothing wrong at all with making mistakes and learning from them, but arrogance and repeated boggings just makes you look like a stooge. Whew need another bourbon
