FFS even Phil Jones plays better than Pique. The man was all over the place in the Arsenal game and played a key part in holding the gunners and allowing De Gea to keep a clean sheet. We dont necessarily need to splash over 30 million on a Centre-Back. We just need someone who was born a defender. Who has strength. Who has height. Who has decent pace. Who has the mind of a damn defender FFS. One of our starting defenders debuted as a striker. The other a CDM. This would be fine if we were a Europa League team but GODAMMIT this is Barca. This is a team that is expected to win trebles. And to all of you who say that Pique and Mascherano started the 2011 CL final: Guardiola is gone. Deal with it. The game is changing. Were being hit on the counter too much. The time for new Centre-backs is NOW.
