FG HAS MET 90% OF ASUP/COEASU DEMAND SAYS MINISTER EDUCATOIN The Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike on Wednesday said that negotiations with the leaderships of the striking lecturers in Nigeria’s polytechnics and colleges of education have seen the federal government concede to about 90 per cent of the unions’ demands. Wike also faulted claims by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) that he has remained insensitive to negotiations with striking polytechnic lecturers in Nigeria. He said in a statement from his media assistant, Simeon Nwakaudu in Abuja that he has clearly worked hard to resolve the ongoing labour disagreement between members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU).
