FGFA Push on Putins visit to India ? Its been four years, when Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) and Russias Sukhoi Design Bureau signed a preliminary design agreement for development of Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft (FGFA) an Indian design variant to be based on Russian developed 5th Generation Pak-Fa. In last four years Indian Air force time and again has Voiced concerns over under rated engines and Avionics which has lead war of words in Indian and Russian media over the time, While Russian President Vladimir Putins who will be visiting India this December, wants to get going with the deal and make Indian officials to come on board. Experts in India time again, have Accused Russians of not been clear on many points raised by IAF about the fighter aircrafts Technical details and Russians have been busy playing hard ball and have not provided any access to the fighter aircraft for IAF to examine,also have refused to provide assured time line for Aircraft receiving Indian upgrades. Russia is planning to sign another contract with India for the construction of a FGFA combat jet, which will have clear details about work share agreements and technical collaboration and Transfer of Technology ( TOT). Russian President is also likely to push Amur 1650 Submarines deal under Project-75 I, in which India will construct 6 new Diesel submarines with with air independent propulsion (AIP) technology in India.
