FIFAs developmental support to the Ghana Football Association is a testament to sport bodys prudent management practices and good governance. Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the GFA told the President Commission into Ghanas participation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil that Ghana has progressed to Goal V. The FIFA Goal Project is a development program by FIFA to assist in the infrastructural development of Member Associations and Ghana is currently one of the few countries in Africa which has benefited from Goal I-IV, and has now attained Goal V. The fact is that the Goal Projects are not awarded to countries which do not meet the eligibility criteria of effectively putting these projects to use. As such, our peers like Nigeria, Ivory Coast and several other African countries have not attained Goal Project V as we have, Nyantakyi said. It shows that our partners FIFA and CAF trust that the GFA is effective and being run effectively. The head office of the GFA was the first Goal Project, followed by the building of camping facilities and a technical centre in Prampram as Goal II. Goal III was made up of the construction of a multi-purpose conference centre in Prampram as well as the construction of an artificial pitch in Tema. Goal IV was the construction of a building which will be used for the proposed GFA Academy in Prampram.
