FIGHT FOR SIGHT RAFFLE *****The Sedona Oak Creek Lions Club is having its first annual Fight for Sight Raffle as a fundraiser to benefit the humanitarian efforts supported by the club. Tickets are being sold and the drawing will be held at the City of Sedona 4th of July celebration being held at Sedona Red Rock High School beginning at 6:30 PM on the evening of the July 4th. You need not be present to win. Over $8,600 in cash and prizes donated by Sedona and Verde Valley businesses will be awarded. Grand prizes are a 3 day 2 nights Golf Package at Seven Canyons by Enchantment Resort and a Los Abrigados Spa Family Membership for 1 year. Six other grand prizes will be given away each totally approximately $1,000 including a fly-fishing expedition for 2, restaurant certificates, rounds of golf, health care services, spa treatments and massages and more which have been donated. The Sedona Lions Club provides financially qualifying residents with sight or hearing problems by providing eyeglasses and hearing aids. In addition the Lions support our Sedona Red Rock High School students annually with scholarships. This year the Sedona Lions contributed over 2,500 pair of glasses to a mission trip to Malawi and over 1500 pair to a trip to Nicaragua and Honduras. The Sedona Lions also supports annually Rainbow Acres, Lions Camp Tatiyee, Arizona Lions Foundation, and Leader Dogs for the Blind, Foundation for Blind Children, Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership, Melvin Jones Foundation, Gompers Rehabilitation Center, Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation.
