FIIIIINALY got round to playing Journey. gotta say, with my schedule being what it is, Im getting more and more into short form games. Which is great for indie companies. Sometimes a concise story with incredibly simple game mechanics is a good thing and actually make it resonate more than the repetitive nature of most long form games. Worked a treat for Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. Journey strives to complete the same sense of scope as the previous mentioned titles but with SIGNIFICANTLY reduced resources which gets a hats off from me. The design is fantastic and the score fits like a glove to give an experience like playing through a Sigur Ros album. My only quibble with the game is that I think a bit more difficulty in the second half of the game would really make for a greater pay off in the story but all in all, was a nice short n breezy experience. Anyone with an Ipad who dug this game should definitely play Sword and Sorcery
