FILE UNDER: LIMITLESS ARROGANCE NOTE: The Inside-the-Beltway nickname for the U.S. State Department is Foggy Bottom, which is derived NOT from the Moral Relativism that in rife within the halls of the Harry S. Truman Building, but instead, stems from the name of the Washington, D.C., neighborhood in which the headquarters resides. But -- Foggy Bottom is a more than an apt moniker -- because, it is a place where common sense goes to die. Proof? Never was that more evident than in this State Department press conference, in which spokeswoman Marie Harf makes a complete ass of herself during reporters questioning. As Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Peters (U.S. Army-retired) offered, shes nothing more than a political flunkie. And, Id offer. an inept, self-absorbed one, at that.
