FINALLY!!!! After decades of dealing with vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning machines, and carpet cleaners, all of the carpeting in the downstairs level of our home is being replaced with tile!!!! About time!!! I have always hated carpet in the house - still have carpeting in the living room and master bedroom upstairs but I will deal with that. Downstairs guest bathroom also being updated: goodbye tub, hello walk in shower with Mexican tile. New tile on vanity, new sink. Tomorrow we go to Bakersfield to find tile. As soon as tile is delivered, tile guy will start work. I am thinking wood tile for all downstairs rooms to compliment 3/4 inch oak flooring upstairs in the dining room/kitchen. Will post pictures as job evolves.
