FINALLY HOME! It only took me 30 hours. I made it to the meet and greet in good time. But I was all the way back to just north of Charleston, WV, when I had to turn around and go pick up Waylon who was absolutely going ballistic. The mountains in WV were rain and fog so thick you could see nothing and cars creeping along to watch out for and that feeling a semi is about to run over you at any minute.. Dead tired, I made it all the way back to Hancock to get Waylon who was going crazy then headed home again only to hit worse fog and a big accident. I pulled over to sleep at a rest stop for a bit, but my car was so full of stuff that the adopters brought to donate, there was no room to even put the seat back so back on the road. I had stopped in Frostburg to get gas and they were out but had some unleaded...and their pumps werent working so I got maybe 3 gallons which immediately caused my engine to start knocking!!! So I continued on home but the car sounded funny, I couldnt keep my eyes open...so I checked into a motel where I was immediately not able to fall asleep. I had to leave Waylon in the car because he was all cranked up going crazy. As soon as it was light I headed home only to have the car start making pop pop noises as soon as I got on the highway and it wouldnt go over 40 so I pulled off and stuck some STP in it, problem fixed....headed off again and right back into the heavy fog. At this point I was like move over people, its only fog and if I dont get a McMuffin I will die. So I arrived home and Waylon heard the dogs bark and his tail started wagging and the evil Waylon twin disappeared and happy cuddly Waylon was back. But 6 dogs went to their new homes and Colt was able to remain in MD with his new family too and didnt have to come back. Congrats to Colt, Dottie, Kirstie, Bridget, Guffey, Carolina and especially Jock who kept looking at me like OMG mom, I got a family!!!! The dogs at home are simply a mess and I have no idea where to begin. Waylon just says he likes it here and I told him that is not going to fly....
