FINALLY THEY AGREED Breaking News: Owelle sets to abolish the 20,000 payment fees of IMO State University! The State Governor, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorochas has hinted that he will soon abolish the 20,000 naira payment fees IMO State University students are paying as soon as possible in order to make the university comprehensively free. The Governor who made it clear that he never promised free education up to university level during his campaign promise, but made it clear that today he has extended free education to the tertiary level and promised that he shall soon abolished the 20,000 Naira lecturers still charge students in the University. Finally the agreed they have been charging N20,000. I raised this issue on twitter the day the Imo State Commissioner of Information T. O. E Ekechi was on Channels TV few months ago that IMSU students paid N20,000 and the Commissioner stoutly denied it and was ready to swear. Today they spoke failing to realize they are contradicting what they have been telling Nigerians for the past three years. In any case, the news is highly commendable. I always say whatever benefits my brethren has benefited me. But please Owelle address the N70,000 Acceptance Fee. That one is also exorbitant and does not cover the interest of the poor amongst us. If you abolish the Acceptance Fee I shall also commend you for that. Thank you Owelle and his supporters for accepting my position that it has been Tuition Subsidy and not Free Education. But in other cases your supporters would say Why now: Why not all these years? Is this not an election appeal to draw people to APC? I say this because the ORO apologists are the quicker ones to judge other peoples goodwill as an election appeal. Now who lied all the while? IMSU Students? ORO and his supporters?
