FINALLY! Tomorrow we will see the medical oncologist and get the results of the PET scan and finally have a chance to get the specific details of her x-rays and CT scan. This has been a difficult wait. Colleen has been more uncomfortable and had more pain than any of her prior cancers/surgeries. It is so hard watching someone you love go through this. We have talked about and believe we are prepared for the worst. That wont make it any easier but just knowing will be some relief. I wont even try to express all of the possibilities that are going through our minds. We have survived stage 1 Merkel cell cancer in July 2012, stage 2 Merkel cell cancer in August 2013 and stage 3 Merkel cell cancer in January of this year. Are we facing stage 4 Merkel cell cancer? By this time tomorrow, we will have that answer. Our lives are in Gods hands, no matter what the results. We pray for strength and for peace.
