FINALLY able to announce that me and my boy Jamie Richardson have purchased DIGITAL Brighton along with The Hub (next door) as part of a consortium with the owner of Shooshh. To try and keep this short, the venue was actually close to being sold to a large national corporation to be shut down and and turned into a VIP Bar/Club. Knowing too well the heritage of the club (as well as being adopted Brighton boys ourselves) with it being credited for the rise of acid house in the 90s, as well as playing host to Fatboy Slim, Deadmau5, Disclosure, Pete Tong, Julio Bashmore, Carl Cox and many more more recently, we couldnt just sit back and allow it to happen. Being twice named DJ Mags best small club in the UK as well as having a custom built Funktion One soundsystem acknowledged as one of the best in the country and still featuring in the Top 100 clubs in the world, we will be looking to carry on the traditions of the venue after spending some much needed money on the place and restoring it to its former glory. King Of Clubs will remain an independent company to this with no direct involvement other than Trash on Mondays before and after the refurb and the weekly Saturdays before. All other KOC nights will remain at their rightful homes with Dearen and Nathan taking over the day to day operations with support from Joshua, Tom, Muhala, Stacey and the rest of the team. Were pretty frickin ecstatic about this venture and cant wait to reinvigorate the venue and bring back the big headline artists it craves, a long with a program of the best weekly and one off nights Brighton has to offer from local promoters. Stay tuned for launch dates, rebrands and event timings. To be released shortly.
