FINANCE DIRECTOR RESPONSABILITIES: - Provide in depth analysis, decision support, and planning advice to leaders of the business to drive more effective resource allocation, strategic planning, and tactical decision making. - Lead the finance team to support the commercial, Mfg, & supply chain activities. Lead process change and improvement. - Accountable with management team for the achievement of annual and quarterly sales, gross margin, EBITDA and cash flow targets as well as annual and quarterly production targets. - Reviews and approves monthly financial reporting (Management and GAAP) for accuracy, completeness and compliance with management policy and US and local GAAP reporting requirements. - Build financial rationales and scenarios to support budget development, investment decisions and long term strategic plans, In consultation with Commercial and Operational Leadership. - Collaborate with Commercial leadership to develop customer & territory budgets, including quarterly imperatives and action plans. Develops financial analysis supporting country and product business plans. - Collaborate with Manufacturing leadership to develop total cost and unit cost budgets, including quarterly imperatives and action plans. - Support and manage planning process to drive approval of Division wide strategic planning, business and project prioritization, resource allocation and target setting for individual projects. - Support and manage planning and execution process for Capital Projects. Develop and refine capital expenditure model and ROI scenarios ensuring that commitments and projected returns are being met. - Continuous review of operations performance and business drivers providing insight and proactive scenario planning to optimize the product cost position in the marketplace. - Recommend business strategy and/or operational changes to key decision-makers to ensure business meets its desired objectives. - Analyze and evaluate opportunities for acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic alliances. - Optimize tax position without compromising domestic compliance - Support implementation of corp reporting and BI initiatives, and proactively initiate reporting & BI solutions. REQUIREMENTS: - Prior experience in leading financial roles. - Thorough understanding of financial statements (I/S, B/S & C/F) and US and Brazilian GAAP. - Strong command of Brazilian taxation (including ICMS, PIS/Cofins, & other domestic tax issues) and transfer pricing environment. - Treasury experience including Brazil Central Bank and monetary policy experience is a plus. - Strong financial modeling skills. - Thorough understanding of cost accounting. - Strong working experience with business intelligence tools, ERP systems, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. - Proven experience in supporting process improvements and rationalization to optimize efficiency and productivity. - An expert level command of budgeting process and methodologies. - Strong understanding of Brazil and Latin America economic drivers, including foreign exchange, inflation, deflation and local governmental practices. - Exposure to sales & marketing, manufacturing & production, supply chain operations, and various distribution channels as well as budgeting and finance. - Undergraduate degree, MBA is a plus. - Fluent in Portuguese and English. - availability to live and work in São Paulo, Brazil.
