FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE NOW AVAILABLE FOR ECONOMIC EMERGENCIES St. James Parish Government Department of Human Resources through the Emergency Food & Shelter Program has funds available to assist parish residents who are experiencing a documented economic emergency. This program can help with food, diapers, rent/mortgage, and utilities. Individuals or families, particularly elderly, families with children, homeless persons, and veterans should provide the following documentation to complete an application: birth dates and copies of social security cards for all household members, proof of identification, and documentation of bill request.
