FINANCIAL DIRECTOR - DURBAN Min Experience Required More than 10 years Min Education Required Degree Qualification Required Registered Chartered accountant Job Description Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Director will be responsible for the following: Responsibilities: • Overall management and control of AMMs Finance, IT and Legal departments. • Financial planning and; ongoing; advice and support to MD , Exco and senior management. • Report to the CFO any changes, decisions or actions that could influence the financial status of Group. • Adherence to the fiduciary duties as a Director • Meet all statutory reporting requirements. • Report and analyze business performance accurately and timeously to facilitate business improvement. • Optimize capital structure and working capital in accordance with set targets- e.g. liquidity, working capital and debt/equity. • Actively review and minimize financial risks. • Overall control of all financial transactions and accounting matters including review of systems. • Lead and manage the formulation of annual budgets and targets in accordance with business strategy. • Preparation of monthly forecasts and monitoring progress. • Review financial results and the financial position of the group and its subsidiaries • Close involvement in commercial negotiations with customers. • Capital expenditure- evaluation and preparation of submissions. • Management and development of subordinates. Manage performance levels of subordinates. • Conduct financial due diligence on any acquisitions. • Manage and monitor all foreign exchange transactions to maximize returns and minimize risk to the company. • Lead and coordinate monthly financial review meetings per region and Line of Business. • Leverage the balance sheet of the Group optimally for future acquisitions. • Timeous and accurate monthly management reporting • Strategic planning • Tax planning • Management accounting; pricing, cost and expense control • Leadership • BBBEE; Collaboration Job Requirements Position Requirements: Registered Chartered accountant. 10 years experience in multinational accounting environment in a product development, services and manufacturing environment. Systems and ERP experience e.g. SAP Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strategic Decision making. Excellent negotiation skills. Contract law experience. Commercial experience. Management of a Financial Department. Required to travel
