FINANCIAL TIMES As I make another pound to stretch Over days and weeks and months I really cannot see the way The politician grunts And when the powers in the Houses Tell me I should be A banker or a businessman I think they take the p Financial times are all about And money is the game They force me into making do With all my morals pained I clean the many buildings and Provide my labour cheap But all the time financial times Drive taxes mega steep An artist I will be until I rest my weary head And every day I celebrate Things that are rarely said The riches lie in my own mind I realise as I write A million pounds would make me into What I wish to fight The TV speaks of promised lands Upon a Lotto dream Where you can sit like Persian cat And consume dollar cream They push the finance forward Like a pimp promotes his staff And if you should ignore their calls To you they force a laugh And as the paper fortune Clouds all walks of life on Earth You can be sure his reaches cross From Timbuktu to Perth But my silly words will leave no mark For those with dollars many And could call me crazy for another Sight of pretty penny And as I write these simple lines Do not forget some things Support the capitalist companies By buying diamond rings
