FIND WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO... And do it! A lovely client today told me that Im good at my job and am dedicated even after work hours. I told her that its easy to do as I LOVE my job. She then reminded me of this quote by Steve Jobs.. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you havent found it yet, keep looking. Dont settle. She is SO RIGHT. 10 years ago I started studying a Bachelor of Arts studying papers in computer science, art history, film and media and music. After that I studied teaching and then spent 3 years as a pre school teacher. While I may have been good at it, teaching wasnt for me. I then spent over a year working in a cafe trying figure out what I wanted to do.. And now I am here! And I can say from the bottom of my heart that I now know what Steve Jobs meant. I chose NOT to settle, even though it would have been so easy to do. I kept looking and kept working to find what truly made me happy... And Ive found it :) It sure wasnt an easy journey, but over the past 10 years I have learnt so much about who I am and where I want to be. I absolutely love my job... And Im happier here than I ever have been in any other career that at the time I could have chosen to stick with as it would have been easy The moral of this long story is to NEVER GIVE UP! If you are not truly happy deep down in your heart and your soul... Then keep looking, keep searching.... Dont stop when youre tired... Stop when youre done xx
