FINDING VICTORY WHEN VICTORY SEEMS LOST This post is NOT about football, football is merely the example... In the midst of the chaos and emotions of the game last night it was easy to miss the caliber of a champion as we watched him before our very eyes...A champion finds victory though victory seems lost, a champion doesnt think victory is there because it looks like victory, a champion sees victory when others see defeat....I for one was screaming Take Sims out of the game (As Im sure many Bama fans were)....After coming home Ive watched the game without the same emotions as lastnight, thats what happens when you know the outcome...Im glad Saban did not pull Sims out....Saban knew he was a champion, he knew exactly how to pull the champion out of him....below is a breakdown of the game from 54 seconds left in the half...As you read you will see the champion emerge from the ashes of what seemed like sure defeat....Can you relate? I can....And God has never once pulled me out of the battle....How bout you... 54 sec in first half Auburn went ahead...23-21...Sims throws interception with 44 seconds left....then Auburn throws trick play to the 1 yard line with 30 seconds left... But cannot get in the end zone and are held to 3 points...to end the half 26-21. 2nd half 14:10 on the clock Sims throws another interception (#3).....Coker puts on helmet and warms up, Sims notices this....Word from the commentator Bama is being challenged 11:02 on the clock Auburn scores now its 33-21...24-0 points scored...24 unanswered points....then it happens the moment of Enough is enough The one who had thrown 3 interceptions suddenly says no more....a 39 yards TD pass...33-27 (Missed extra point) Finding Victory when victory seems lost ....3:30 Auburn kicks field goal 36-27 .....3:20 heres where everything changed, because a person (Sims) who had failed before refused to settle for anything less than a victory even when victory seemed to be lost...78 yard TD pass to Cooper....36-34....4th quarter emerges out of the shadows....14:33 of the fourth the one who had tasted defeat by interceptions runs 17 yards to go ahead...42-36 (2 Point conversion)....8:05 The one who had thrown the interceptions throws to White from the 12 yard line for TD ( 2 point conversion falls short)....fast forward 3:45 BAMA scores on a 26 yard run by Henry....55-36....33-21 in the 3rd 11:02....Bama scores 5 TDs in a row....Auburn scored and got 2 point conversion 55-44 with 20 seconds left in the game....Auburn failed onside kick...game ends....as a champion emerges from the shadows of his defeats....There is a champion in you, has the enemy scored 24 unanswered points against you? Have you thrown 3 interceptions and giving up seems easier and just let someone carry the weight of your failure? YOU ARE A CHAMPION, YOU ARE GODS CHAMPION!!!!!
