FINE TRADITION :VP INSPECTED REHEARSAL OF GRAND MILITARY REVIEW PARADE ----------------------------- Chairman of the Committee for Organizing the 67th Anniversary Independence Day and Military Grand Review Parade Ceremony, Vice President U Nyan Tun inspected rehearsal and preparations for the event in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday. Officials briefed the Vice President on arrangements for reception, transportation, security and information at the event. The Vice President viewed the parade and display of flag bearers, military bands, parade troops and other programs in accord with the agenda of the ceremony and fulfilled the needs. Altogether 7,128 members from the Defence Services (Army, Navy and Air), Myanmar Police Force, Myanmar Fire Bridge, the Immigration and Population Department, the Custom Department and many other organizations will take part in the parade. The Grand Military Review Parade is the greatest public event to salute the President and all national races who defend the nation independence and defence service personnel who sacrificed their lives and limbs for independence. The fine tradition of Myanmar which has been lost for 50 years is to be maintained starting from the 67th Anniversary Independence Day.
