FIRE INSURANCE Those whom are unfamiliar with the ways of God are sadly under the wrong impression that the Lord Jesus Christ is their fire insurance agent. And in a sense, that is somewhat accurate, if the policy holder accepts the Word of God as their sole fire insurance policy. But one cannot escape the flames of hell simply because they pay their premiums in a timely manner. God desires for us to have a relationship with Him through Christ Jesus. Obedience is greater than sacrifice. A prime example was Cain and Abel. The first mention of tithing and offering was in Genesis 4...hundreds of years before the Law. Cain Murders Abel 1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.” 2 Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. 6 So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” I need to note that we have a lot of Cains in the Church today, especially in ministerial positions. Those whom are envious, prideful, jealous and bitterly spiteful towards their brothers and sisters because they have not submitted themselves to the full authority of the Lord and they are angry at those who have submitted themselves to Christ and who preach the true Gospel in love. Back to the fire insurance. There are a lot of people who believe that they have full coverage, yet the only thing their policies cover is the flesh. They need a plan that will cover their soul. And the reason their fire insurance fails to provide them with full coverage is because the enemy sells counterfeit fire insurance. His gospel is not the message of peace nor is it the gospel of salvation...but of chaos and of condemnation. The real policy is a free gift from God and has an unlimited Grace period and can only be found in Jesus. The fraudulent one keeps you making payments and comes to you via deception and false doctrines and teachings. But theres the issue of the fine prints and the writings therein reads fire assurance. See, only the Lord can offer you fire insurance. And only the devil can sell you fire assurance. Understand how the enemy operates. Christ is the ONLY WAY. 1 John 2:3-6, 22-23 and 28-29 NKJV 3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when[f] He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. 29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
