FIREFEST ‘TOP 5’ BANDS POLL, 2014. Thank you for waiting patiently, everyone! All votes have been counted and checked! All honorary mentions have been logged (more on those later). I was staggered by the amount of interest in this (from punters as well as some of the bands!), as I really did expect to get maybe 10-15 votes (at most) and to publish a little mini-results thing after 2 days and for it to be forgotten in a heartbeat, so THANK YOU to all who voted and put me to work! :-D A FEW NOTES:- Due to requests, I have decided to list the TOP 10. Opinion-wise, it was a bit 50/50 on whether I should go with the original ‘Top 5’ idea, or publish the Top 10. As already stated, I won’t and would never have published a full 1-21 listing as I don’t want bands coming near the bottom to feel disappointed, if they ever see this. None of them should as they were all awesome. Anyway it’s hard for all bands to get lots of votes when people can only vote for their favourite 5 performances. So, thank you again to all the fantastic bands who performed for us over the weekend - you ALL received some votes! :-) SO! For the bands who came ranked 6th-10th, I will list them in reverse order from 10th position to 6th position. For the Bands who came in the TOP 5, I will list them in reverse order WITH SCORES from 5th position to 1st position. Honorary mentions will be saved for separate presentation at the end of this poll. Finally, once the poll is over and after 24 hours or so, I will re-edit this top message to re-list the Top 10, so that people don’t have to plough through the posts below (but still have that option). I hope all that made sense, because it’s time to kick this thing off… :-O Are we ready? :-D
