FIREKITES 5 stars in the Sydney Morning Herald! Like swimming in an ocean of glowing light, the Firekites play something that you need to hear. There is clear form to this album, but it is derived from a brand of music that is almost formless - gentle yet robust sound scapes, constant movement, imbued with patience and warmth. An original collection of indie movements in sound, this is an Australian album with a definite international feel. Almost psychedelic, but not jaded or tripped out or trying too hard, it is impossible to describe without sounding prosaic by comparison. So I find myself thinking about the title and looking inward to tease out some of the ineffable feelings this music conjured up. Yes, this album just feels good.
