FIRST IMPRESSION COUNTS they say. true, it counts, but most of us understood it wrong. it doesnt mean because it counts you must try to act, pretend to be who you are not. because if you do that, the people will take you for who you been the very first time they met you. when they say it counts, they meant, be yourself. dont try to impress, and here i meant like opening the doors for her, pulling out the chair for her etc. dont do things which you cant keep on doing in a long run. let them know you by who you real are. we all know no one cannot pretend forever. pretense can only be perfected for a moment, and we all know that every moment has an end, one way or the other. later on you will hear remarks like these ones: i wish i had known.., this is not the wo/man i met last year/week/day Question is why these remarks? because you finally changed to yourself from the person you were the day you met. you did all you did to impress, to look good, to fit in, to be acceptable, and now that all these have happened, you find no reason to pretend, act or fake things cos you are in now. i say brothers and sisters, if you want to be genuinely accepted into someones life, be yourself from the very first day. and if you are not accepted, then know, you are not his/her type and by that you save yourself time and avoided heartaches.
