FIRST PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR POOL VOTE THIS TUESDAY: Opportunity for citizens to learn the facts surrounding the October 1st ballot Clay Center, Kan. – In advance of the upcoming vote for a new swimming pool, Clay Center residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input at two Public Informational Meetings. These events will be held on Tuesday, August 27th and Tuesday, September 17th at the SS Peter & Paul Parish Center located at 730 Court Street in Clay Center. The meetings will both start at 7:00 p.m. Rick Ensz, Vice President of Cooper, Malone and McClain Inc. will be available to answer questions along with Kevin McElyea, Lead Aquatic Planner & Designer for Aquatic Design Consultants, Inc. Citizens of all ages are encouraged to attend to learn more about the financial impact of the proposed sales tax increase, in addition to learning more about the state of the current swimming pool and the benefits related to the new pool design.
