FIRST STEP CAMBODIA TRAINING OPPORTUNITY 2015 THE ‘BOYS FIRST’ SOCIAL WORK CURRICULUM TRAINING COURSE First Step Cambodia is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the fifth cycle of its unique and intensive Social Work Training Curriculum for NGO staff, totalling 352 hours, which will run from January 2015 through to December 2015. This year the training will take place in Phnom Penh at the ICF building, #19/21, St. 330, Sangkat Boeng Keng Kong 3, Phnom Penh (near Toul Sleng). An application pack in both Khmer and English is available from the FSC office. The closing date for applications is Friday 28th November 2014. For individuals and organisations based in Phnom Penh, completed forms should to be handed into the FSC office at 132C, Street 135, Sangkat Phsar Derm Thkov, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh. Details of how to get applications to us if you are not based in Phnom Penh can also be provided when you contact the FSC office. Following selection of written applications, FSC will arrange to interview candidates and the final results will be communicated to all applicants as soon as possible before the course starts in January 2015. Demand is expected to be high and there are limited places available. One of the new strategies of FSC has been to promote Disability and Child Protection Mainstreaming, to develop a network to promote this and to support the capacity development of the network members. Therefore, NGO staff working with young people and children with disabilities are encouraged to attend this course (One third of applications are reserved for staff working in organisations that support children and families where disability is an issue).
